Back in 1999 Jimmy Dasaint got arrested for selling cocaine to an undercover FBI informant. He was later convicted and sentence to serve ten years in Federal Prison. While away Jimmy began to write urban novels. In 2003 he received his first two book deal with a New York publisher. When he was released in 2010 Jimmy had over 40 published novels. Including the bestselling urban classic Black Scarface Co-written by Freeway Rick Ross. In 2017 Jimmy decided to jump into the urban film industry. He wrote Directed and produced his first film THE TRAP, dedicated to his deceased brother Sean.
These days Jimmy is on a roll, as he writes, directs, produce and distribute his films on Tubi and other streaming platforms. He is the man responsible for putting the Philly film industry in the game. With over ten feature films, Jimmy has also helped other film makers get their films out.
