Back in March, I had the opportunity to check out this unique comedy showcase put on by AlleyOop Television here in the DMV area, founded by pioneer Eddie Kane and hosted by Simon Says, another DMV comic. Alley Oop is actually a TV app that you can download on your Smart TV and catch up on the comedy series. The comedy show is called “That Ain’t It,” which features up and coming comedians competing for a chance at winning a big prize. If your jokes ain’t hitting right, the audience hit you with a “that ain’t itttt!” If the crowd is feeling you, they welcome you with thunderous applause. At a recent taping it was a few comedians that stood out, but one in particular GENIUS JONES, had the audience laughing non-stop. His real life approach and relatability won him over with the crowd. His comfort and authenticity was evident in conveying his jokes. Also, GENIUS has a prominent social media presence, dropping videos on IG and Tik Tok which allows for his fans to enjoy his content throughout the day.
GENIUS JONES is originally for the DC METRO AREA. He currently resides in North Carolina with his wife and three sons. He is a talented comedian that uses his high energy and loud voice to capture his audience. He also is an up and coming actor making his way onto the movie scene. He is a fan favorite because of his relatable stories and contagious spirit. He believes laughter is medicine and we all need a little bit of it! You can find him on stages in a city near you and on the big screen.
