K Slug opening up his Ep. “Quarantine Flow” for the world to tune into and its definitely a good addition to the playlist. With records like “Level Up” and “Drip Season” featuring Philly’s top carrier Quilly, K Slug keeps showing improvement in his craft with every record. 5 solid vibes with a major feature following his 2020 project “The Beginning”, which was rated a 9 out of 9 on HipHopsince1987.com I can’t wait to see what his next album will hit us with.
K Slug always voicing the struggles of the inner city and also being able switch it up when you need that drip. His voice will capture you with a unique style and use that matches the vibe of each record showing he can blend on multiple styles and genres of music.
In the future I see K Slug with the ability to reach a Lil’ Wayne status but a mix of conscious and pop sound will set K Slug up for a long career. Already mastering the flows of todays sound and simplicity, the streets need one of those Hot 97, or come up show takeover freestyles to flex his lyrical capabilities I know he has.
With the drop of his Ep. K Slug also has a dope music video out for the single “Like Me”. The hook reminds me of 50 cent when he was in his “Get Rich or Die Trying” bag. When he lays the verses it reminds me of Eazy-E and I was forced to run it back.
K Slug has set the bar high when it comes to his video production and I believe that is a major factor when it comes to separating him from the rest. His success will be easy to obtain especially on a main stream push due to his sound and visuals to match. Consistency in the quality and high production makes the consumer want more from this young artist from Philadelphia and he is gearing up to hit with more music videos this fall 2021.
