One of my favorite cuts off J. Cole’s new album is “p u n c h i n’.t h e. c l o c k,” and in case you missed it, Cole finally dropped the video for the single. Clocking in at just under two minutes, we follow Cole through the streets of New York City, while in the backseat of a yellow cab. Head out the car window, director Scott Lazer, captures classic moments of Cole rapping along freely. He even follows Cole as he buys some street food from a local street vendor.

What I’ve always admired about Cole – aside from the fact that we both graduated from St. John’s University & he’s always stayed true to his sound – is that he is chill af. No need to try hard. No need to stunt. No need to prove any points. He just raps, and loves what he does. The talent truly speaks for itself. Peep the visual below!
