Despite Nicki Minaj’s rep for “not showing enough female rappers love,” the Queen took to social media earlier today to prove everyone wrong. Shouting out Ice Spice, the hottest new rapper from The Bronx, Nicki dubbed Spice “The People’s Princess.” Along with the message, Nicki shared a screenshot of Spice’s Dazed Magazine cover photo.
Nicki also shared the love over on Twitter, where Ice Spice quote retweeted and replied “ya heard da QUEEN!”

Spice later shared that Nicki ended up following her back on social media! This is a step forward for Nicki, who had previously received backlash for her lack of support for women in Hip Hop.

The Shade Room shared screenshots of the exchange between Ice Spice and Nicki Minaj, and the followers went in on the comments. Some had to point out that this couldn’t have been a diss because Nicki would have made it loud and clear that it was. Others even gassed a possible collaboration between the two. Imagine that? A Bronx and Queens link-up between these two would lowkey hit.
