Hello Everyone! So I was sent a song and asked to give my honest opinion on it, so here it goes. The song is titled “Drippin” and it’s by an artist named K-Slug. At first listen I was examining the production and mixing( I know it doesn’t have nothing to do what the artist), but it is crucial in the overall song. I wasn’t blown away, but I wasn’t completely disappointed with it.
Production Grade B+
The video gives the goto “come up” aesthetic. Being that it was a short song, I didn’t expect many scenes. The city rooftop shot was dope, flashing the bands and letting the world know your up next. The second shot shows a stairway shot that gives the video a gritty edge. Still could have used a little more imagination.

Now, The actual song (which is why your reading this) lol. But in all seriousness, I felt the dong was too heavy on the auto tune. Its ok to sprinkle something on the hook. I just think the song deserved Slug’s lyrics, but not drowned out. His older work like “Bag Today” can lay credit to my claim.

Im on the fence with this one, can’t say I love it but I don’t hate it. I’ll keep an eye on K-Slug moving forward.
