Malik Row is a young hip-hop artist originally from Columbus, Ohio. He is now based out of South Florida and hit the ground running soon as he stepped into the industry. Before settling in Florida he also put in some time pursuing his dream in Las Vegas and Los Angeles so he is not foreign to finding his place in any city.
On his official debut single for indie label MECAP, which is helmed by his cousin, Sid “Uncle Jamz” Johnson, Row enlists some singing on the hook from labelmate Damon Karl. The song “Watchers!” is a matter of fact warning to everyone that they watch you on social media. in your hoods, at your job, on your computer, on your phone, so one has learn to move in silence, as Row, says, “Break the Cyclez”. Late Spring or early Summer he will have an album project.
In the meantime he has his comic book “BREAKING CYCLEZ: INVERTED NOIR” was released on February 12th and can be purchased by contacting his website. The music video for “Watchers!” is quite entertaining and was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia. The single is available at all digital music stores and streaming outlets.
I had the honor of interviewing Malik on my show “Wilde Tuna Exclusive” and really tapped into his desire to create. Not only is he inspired by his child hood his want to empower and make others better. I was mind blown when I discovered he was releasing a comic book and honored that he created characters of our culture.
