Let the tournament begin!
The official trailer for the Mortal Kombat movie has finally surfaced and at first glance, it’s everything a true fan can appreciate. The film, which started production back in 2019 in Australia, is set to be released in theaters and on HBO Max starting April 16th!
In the trailer, the video opens with some narration from Sonya Blade, recalling a time she encountered Sub-Zero while her team was in Brazil. Fast-forward to the present day, Sub-Zero is now on the hunt for a man named Cole Young (Tan) who has a mysterious birthmark shaped like a dragon. That birthmark, which he’ll soon find out with the help of Jax and Sonya, is actually a mark of the chosen ones – those invited to fight for something known as the Mortal Kombat.
