Opposing Perspectives Podcast (OPP) is a show created by Sedale Pennington from South Jersey. After managing artists, Sedale wanted to enter another avenue in entertainment. He teamed up with his cousin, James F Pierce III, from Uptown Philadelphia to bring their vision of starting a podcast to life. James contributed tremendously with his natural, deep, distinct radio voice; they conducted basic interviews with family members at their family reunion, but soon after they began to approach and interview local businesses and artists from the community.
Some of the individuals they interviewed include the owners of Embroidery Brothers, Jermaine Levy and Joseph Levy, Ashley Crump, the owner of Pretty Chills, a holistic healer/cryotherapy in Philadelphia/South Jersey, Sherrod Dunlap, Celebrity Boxing Champion from Camden, NJ, Wilde Tuna, a rapper media figure from Uptown, Philadelphia, and Poppy O, a rapper from Camden, NJ. Sedale’s passionate drive created a vision to push the culture forward in South Jersey and the Tri-state area for inspiring artists to promote their brands and contribute to the region’s artistic advancement.
OPP has built a strong team that includes Derrick “Cheezy Bread” Mitchell Cameraman/assistant; Kenny Mack Cameraman; Nick Pinn Technology Consultant, owner of Dominate Tech; Tiki Taylor Manager/Coordinator; Maine and Joe of Embroidery Brothers have contributed to sponsorship so OPP could get running. Joe has become a recurring host while Maine helps with camera work and aesthetic.
Recently, OPP brought on one of the hottest DJs in Tri-state, as well as R&B Jeremih’s official DJ, DJ Caution. He currently spins at some of the biggest clubs (Roar, Vera, Island Bar, NOTO, and Wilsons to name a few). In the episode, Caution shares his experiences working with several top artists in the industry, like working on 50 cents Final Lap Tour. This episode is filled with gems to give to other aspiring DJs and local artists the grind blueprint to get to the “next level”.
