When asked about the inspiration behind “Body,” Hovlaine shared, “I wanted to write a song that felt good but came from a real authentic place. West Indies culture is about love, expression, sensuality, and spirituality. Being Haitian, I felt confident and powerful in my femininity and wanted to capture that in this record.”
