Gangsta Boo was among the members of Three 6 Mafia and undoubtedly paved the way for other female emcees. After joining the Memphis Rap group in 1995, Gangsta Boo was featured on the group’s first five albums, including their 1995 debut, “Mystic Styles.”
As she shifted gears as a solo act, Gangsta Boo debuted her album “Enquiring Minds” in 1998 – which spawned the hit “Where Dem Dallas At?!” In 2002, she made her exit from Three 6 Mafia after releasing her second album, and shortly after, dropped her third album, “Enquiring Minds II: The Soap Opera.”
Outside of her Three 6 Mafia family, Gangsta Boo has an extensive list of collaborations that include artists like Run the Jewels, Gucci Mane, Eminem, OutKast, and most recently, Latto for her single “FTCU.”
Latto was one of many who Tweeted about her untimely passing once the news broke.
