James Mathis, also known as Jimmy Dasaint is an award-winning bestselling author from Philadelphia. He has written and published over 25 novels and three feature films. He is also a mentor and drugs and guns activist in Philly. After being released from Federal prison in 2009 Jimmy started the Philly hip hop awards to showcase the music scene in his hometown of Philadelphia. His true -life documentary film American Hustler is featured on Amazon Prime.
Jimmy is known for transorming his vision into motion picture with ease. His recent work being the feature film “Karma Effect,” released in the late months of 2020., his documentary “American Hustler” is also currently streaming on all platforms online, including Amazon Prime.
Jimmy is also the manager of Rulla, one of the hottest new hip-hop stars from Philly. Currently, he wrote and directed a new feature film, “You Only Live Once” featuring all the Philly soundtrack and cast, which will be released in early 2021.
