On August 3rd Verzuz presents Dipset vs The Lox. This Rap Battle is part of the TrillerVerzuz events that will be once per month on Tuesday and are in two parts. The first part is a boxing bouts and the second one, with music performances. On August 3rd is the first event of the series. The music rap battle will be between Dipset and The Lox. Dipset are formed in Harlem, the Lox is formed in Yonkers, NY.
I can comfortably say that The Lox have accomplished the accomplishable and swept The Diplomats every round. The first 5 rounds The Lox solidified their mission, goal and statement in the mecca of Hip-hop. Not only did they challenge their song selection, they fully embarrassed Dipset by highlighting them not knowing the words to the music. Two legendary rap groups with no filter makes for the closest you’ll ever get to real reality tv. Hip-hop is by far the most entertaining when you test the wit and improv of your opponents but unfortunately Juelz sleeping on stage wasn’t enough to rattle the bully’s of Hip-hop. The Lox begin to dethrone and disarm the diplomats song by song, shoe by shoe and flag by flag.
All in the name of Hip-hop and progression of the culture. Verzuz continues to push the limits and boosting the legends of the games longevity and appreciation.
