Stop Asian Hate.
Shoutout to Rihanna. The Pop star took to the streets of New York City this past Sunday, April 4th, to show her support for the Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) community! With the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes and attacks, Ri-Ri took joined a Stop Asian Hate rally in New York City as her assistant, Tina Truong, shared images & video of the R&B star on social media.
Ri-Ri went unnoticed for the most part as she wore sunglasses, a black hat and mask, sealing her identity. She held a sign that read “#StopAsianHate” on one side and “Hate = Racism Aginst God!” on the other.
Her identity was soon discovered by one attendee who snapped a photo of the rally and asked Ri-Ri for her IG handle! Superstars, like Rihanna, showing solidarity is extremely pivotal for all P.O.C.-led movements.
